Larive owes its name to its founders. As far back as 1975, the Larive family started with the creation of a network of offices, initially focused on Asia. In the beginning, companies were assisted whilst entering markets in countries as Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. Later, the emphasis shifted to countries like China, Thailand and India.
Frank Zuure and Haiko Emanuel took over Larive from the family in 1986. Kerst Doornhof joined as third owner in 2000.
After the demolition of the Iron Curtain in 1989, Larive noticed an increase in the need for profes-sional support with entering the Central European and Eastern European markets. Where Larive mostly collaborated with local consultancies in Asia, this line of business was not yet developed there. Hence, Larive established, in collaboration with local specialists, a network of its own Larive offices.
In total, Larive has a network of offices in 25 countries in Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia at its disposal.
