New PSI countries 2012
The Dutch Government agency Agentschap NL announced that from the first tender in 2012, the country list of the Private Sector Investmentprogramma (PSI) will be expanded. The new included countries are Algeria, Angola, Cambodia, Djibouti, Iraq, Jordan, Laos, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and Tunesia.
About the PSI programme
The PSI provides grant funding for investment projects in emerging markets. The maximum project budget is € 1.5 million of which 50% is grant-funded by the PSI regular and 60% by the PSI Plus. The balance has to be contributed by the project partners. The PSI is the successor of PSOM (Programme Cooperation Emerging Markets).
PSI regular - Countries open for Dutch applicants only:
Albania, Armenia, Bolivia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Colombia, Cape Verdi, Egypt, Georgia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Kenya, Kosovo, Macedonia, Morocco, Moldova, Mongolia, Namibia, Peru, Philippines, Suriname, Thailand, Vietnam.
PSI plus - Countries open for Dutch and foreign applicants:
Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Senegal, South-Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia.
Larive has successfully developed many PSI projects in countries in Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa. Overall, Larive has an outstanding track record with this instrument. Most recently, projects in Namibia and Thailand were successfully prepared and granted.
