Russia joins WTO

Russia has been admitted into the World Trade Organisation (WTO) on December 16th 2011. This will enable foreign exporters improved access to the Russian market. New opportunities especially arise for companies exporting agricultural or industrial products.

The membership involves structural reforming of the Russian economy and legislation. Russia will cut binding in tariffs and non-tariff barriers, improve the intellectual property protection and rule of law.
