Larive International together with TBSC Consulting are performing a feasibility study for a leading Georgian dairy producer company. This study is conducted in frame of a 2xplore program granted by the Dutch government.

Currently the market for cheese in Georgia is in early stages of development and is mainly dominated by farmers with small scale production. However, consumers start to demand high quality branded and packaged cheese that farmers are not able to supply. On top of that the government of Georgia is in process of establishing the food safety regulations that did not exist previously. New law is expected to significantly reduce the farm level production and local cheese availability on the market.

The dairy producer company decided to take advantage of market opportunities and invest in cheese production in Georgia. Before making the final decision the company needs to estimate the feasibility of cheese production on factory level.

Larive and TBSC are now studying the local cheese market and preparing a business plan for the company. A Dutch consortium is working on the technical part of the business plan and is designing a cheese production line.
