2xplore is the successor of PESP. This programme is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and is administered by its agency EVD.
2xplore provides grant financing of pre-investment and feasibility studies that potentially lead to substantial export of Dutch goods and services. The programme funds 50% of the maximum study budget of € 266,000. Most of the budget will be allocated to technical assistance and related expenses. In some cases hardware can be included as well. Typical output of a 2xplore study is a comprehensive business plan which can be presented to decision makers and their financiers. Often, these projects lead to substantial export orders.
Main criteria:
- At least two Dutch companies must have an export interest in the study.
- The expected export of Dutch goods and services must be over € 0.5 million and at least 10x times the requested 2xplore subsidy.
- Complete financing of the planned project, upon positive conclusion of the study, must be evident.
More information about 2xplore can be found on the website of EVD.
Larive has successfully developed over 60 PESP projects in countries in Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa. Example sectors are food and food processing, production, energy and logistics.
Overall, Larive has an absolute outstanding track record with this instrument. This is due to our local presence in many emerging markets allowing for close support during the feasibility study. Most recently, projects in Vietnam and Georgia were successfully prepared and granted. In our references section, you can read more about Larive’s experience with 2xplore.
