MMF Matchmaking Facility

Companies in emerging market often look for reliable business partners abroad. The Matchmaking Facility (MMF) can help to put those companies in touch with suited counterparts in the Netherlands. The Matchmaking Facility is funded by the Dutch Minister of Development Cooperation and administered by the EVD and is designed to stimulate cooperation and investment by Dutch companies in targeted countries.

How can I apply for MMF?
If your company is interested in cooperation with a company from the Netherlands and is located in one of the eligible countries, you may first contact your local Dutch Embassy. Companies that fulfil the requirements of the facility and are considered suitable by de local Dutch Embassy are presented to the EVD, after which the EVD will look for potential Dutch partners. If a suitable match is found, you will receive a "voucher" worth EUR 5,000. This voucher may be used to hire a Dutch consultant who will help you explore and define the scope for commercial cooperation between you and your Dutch business partner. The consultant’s duties include, among others, a quick market scan, arranging a visit for your company to the Netherlands, drafting of a follow-up plan and evaluation.

To apply, your company should:
• be privately owned;
• have a good business track record;
• exist for a least two years;
• have at least ten employees;
• be financial healthy;
• be an interesting partner for a Dutch company from a commercial point of view.

More information on EVD Matchmaking Facility can be found on the website of EVD.
