Indonesian market prospect:
Having strengthened his position within the government since mid-2016, the president, Joko Widodo, will be able to comfortably serve out his full term until 2019. His economic policy agenda will remain focused on boosting investment in infrastructure and manufacturing. More politically challenging reforms will continue to be neglected, however. Real GDP growth will average 4.9% a year in 2017-21, supported by buoyant private consumption. That said, the external sector will remain sluggish. (Source: The Economist Intelligence Unit 2017)
