Thai market prospects:
The army and its allies have cemented control over politics via a constitution approved in a referendum held in 2016. General elections will not be held before 2018, mainly owing to a change to the draft constitution requested by the royal office and additional laws that must be written into the charter prior to propagation. The economy will be strongly supported by public investment in the early part of the forecast period, even as external demand continues to be somewhat uneven.
