Discovering opportunities with a relation to climate adaptation
Larive supported NLinBusiness, an initiative of VNO-NCW and MKB-Nederland, with generating follow up-activities from the various trade missions to India. The purpose of this study was to identify three public private-partnerships in the field of water, agri-horti and life sciences & health with a relation to climate adaptation.
Based on a review of existing initiatives and gaps that could be exploited by Dutch expertise, several initial opportunities were identified in a preparatory stage. Subsequently, Larive conducted 29 deep-dive interviews with private parties and public institutes in which interests and ambitions were actively tested. Larive identified three specific partnerships: one for each earmarked field. Each consortium was supported by five to eight private and/or public parties. The consortia revolved around reducing the usage of antibiotics in the Indian poultry sector, addressing the food safety value chain in India by offering specific education and setting up a food safety lab, and establishing an optimal agricultural water cycle blueprint with advanced Dutch technology.
The outcome of the study has offered NLinBusiness clear handles to accelerate the unfolding of new public-private initiatives in complex Indian markets.
“Larive did a great job in identifying potential projects and consortia in India as a follow-up of a large trade mission to India. We appreciated Larive’s way of working, market knowledge, and extensive network. This led to very good and extensive report with concrete leads.”
