Commissioned by the NEA and the EKN in Yangon, Larive conducted a pilot project to validate the use of antibiotic alternatives in layer feed in Myanmar. The project team executed testing and demonstration activities to analyse the performance of the best possible Antibiotic Growth Promoter replacers. The aim was to create awareness about the commercial and technical advantages of these products among stakeholders (such as feed millers, farmers, retailers/wholesalers, consumers, knowledge institutes and Myanmar government officials). And in combination with the results of the earlier performed pilot focusing on the broiler segment, develop a roadmap for farmers in Myanmar supporting them to comply with the new legislation, while improving their farm performance and meeting food safety standards.
