Political & economic prospect (2018) | The expectation is that the Awami League (AL) is to complete its third term in office, expiring in 2023. The country’s foreign policy will continue to focus on its neighbors, with China and India vying for influence. Following a bounce-back in merchandise exports in July-September and strong remittances inflows supporting private consumption, the growth forecast for fiscal year 2020/21 (July-June), is 3.8%. |
